Remember remember the 5th of November….
Fireworks weekend always seems to signal the start of winter for us! Darkness creeps in earlier, the temperature noticeably drops; hats, scarves and coats make a reappearance, and our favourite - adult (ahem) hot drinks come back on the scene!
This weekend we will be welcoming the winter nights with flasks of Mulled Cider, and Devilled Hot Chocolate - nothing says hug in a mug more than this! So easy and simple to make - add a touch of spice to your cider with some cinnamon, star anise, and grated nutmeg. A glug of whisky will elevate the warmth, whilst a squeeze of citrus will balance the sweetness. Rum will compliment your hot chocolate perfectly, all rounded off with a toasted marshmallow.
For delicious non alcoholic / child friendly alternatives use apple juice instead of cider, and remove added alcohol from both options.
Halloween is a wicked time to get creative with cocktails; using intense colours, ghoulish garnishes and frightening flavours! Give your guests the goosebumps with these spine chilling ideas…
Serve your vampires shots of blood from syringes, or transform your pumpkin into a smoking cauldron with dry ice. Who needs bobbing apples, when you can garnish your martini with bobbing eye balls (lychee’s stuffed with cocktail cherries or blueberries)! Finish a long drink with dried hibiscus petals to give the look of witches blood seeping down the glass or use green food colouring for a toxic toast.

The Blend is back! After the huge success of last year, The Blend by Chivas Regal has returned to east London - 133 Bethnal Green Road to be precise!
This 45 minute whisky experience includes an interactive tasting session, followed by the chance for guests to draw on their newly gained knowledge and blend their very own, unique whisky to be taken home and enjoyed. Within The Blend bar, DJ’s set the mood whilst our bartenders serve up delicious Chivas cocktails.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and The Art of Blending is no different. This innovative experience will draw to a close on Sunday 3rd December ‘17. Tickets are still available to be purchased here.

What a crazy, hectic, wonderful week London Cocktail Week was! Drawing to a close on Sunday we are immensely proud to have been working with such creative teams on stands within the cocktail village including Monkey 47, Havana Club and Grand Marnier.
Located within Spitalfields Market, the cocktail village featured a variety of pop up bars from brands showcasing not only their signature £6 cocktail but immersive experiences, insightful masterclasses and collectively an electric atmosphere that would’ve given New York’s Studio 54 a run for its money! If you missed out, fear not! Check out Drink Up London for the ultimate London bar guide and recreate your own, unique cocktail week!
Until 2018 #LCW… we may have recovered by then!
We may have been basking in glorious sunshine for the past week, but on what is set to be the hottest day since the 70’s, Summer has arrived (officially)!
Cool yourself down with the trendiest cocktail of the moment - a chilled, refreshing Frosé!
A delicious blend of Rosé wine, vermouth, strawberries and a pinch of cracked black pepper. Served in a wine glass with a swirl of balsamic syrup and strawberries.
One of our favourite things about events is the diversity in venues, locations and destinations we work within London, the UK, Europe and the world!
Not only are destinations diverse, but event set-ups are also pushing new boundaries and creative concepts are being born. In the past month we have taken cocktail trollies around our clients office offering personalised cocktails at employees desks, and only recently we built a bar in a lift to service guests as they moved between floors. Friday afternoon office drinks are taking on a whole new meaning!
Throughout May we have been lucky enough to travel with our team to incredible locations such as Osea Island, Barcelona and Monaco all in the name of a delicious cocktail! Transport has included our trusted luton vans, airplane, train and yacht!
We can’t wait to see what the Summer has in store!
Made famous by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex & The City, the Cosmopolitan is a delicious shaken blend of vodka, Cointreau, cranberry and fresh lime juice. All finished off with a dramatic flamed orange zest.
To give this cocktail the attention it deserves, Sunday 7th May has been announced as the official National Cosmopolitan Day. Hell, we love this cocktail so much we named one of our vans ‘Cosmo’!
Now in the words of Carrie Bradshaw, “I’d like a cheeseburger, large fries and a Cosmopolitan”! - SATC
…Make a Gin & Tonic of course!
The popularity of this well known beverage has exploded over the years, but the process of ordering one has become slightly more complex! The days of simply going to a bar and ordering a G&T are a thing of the past. Now you may be asked for your gin preference, which tonic and choice garnish.
Given that tonic makes up two thirds of the drink, it’s understandable, but for those of you that need a quick crash course, we have come across this brilliant article by ‘Gin Foundry’.
To give you an idea, they recommend Hendricks should be served with Schweppes tonic and cucumber, Beefeater 24 with Fever-Tree Indian tonic water and lemon verbena and Tarquin’s Gin with elderflower tonic and dried violet. Simples!
Here at Create Cocktails we LOVE a G&T (particularly at 3pm on Friday’s) and have decided to go back to basics. We have made a classic G&T using Beefeater gin and Schweppes Indian tonic (available in all supermarkets) and served it the Spanish way in a Copa de Balon (large wine glass if you don’t have a Copa). To make it that bit more fancy we have frozen edible flowers into ice cubes (super easy to do) and served with orange and pink grapefruit segments. With it’s colour and beauty, this G&T screams “drink me” and is best enjoyed with friends on a warm Summer’s evening.
Incase you needed more of an excuse to crack the ice out, this Sunday (9th April) is International Gin & Tonic Day AND the weather is meant to be 20 degrees and sunny… Oh yes!
Go the extra mile for your mum this Mothering Sunday (26th March incase it’s slipped your mind) and treat her to a beautiful pre lunch cocktail! After all, being waited on hand and foot for the morning is thirsty work!
We have created a Lychee & Rosehip Martini that looks pretty as a picture and tastes sweet like the Spring blossom. It is simple enough to make at home, but looks as impressive as a cocktail in the Ritz.
Gently shake Gin with lychee, a squeeze of lemon and cubed ice. Strain into a coupette glass and spritz with rose-hip and hibiscus (equal parts cordial). Garnish with fresh edible flowers (can be substituted for Rose petals) and dried hibiscus leaves (hibiscus tea available from most supermarkets). As the hibiscus soaks, its colour will run giving the impression of an elegant watercolour painting.
Cheers, relax and enjoy!

St. Patrick’s Day - a global shindig celebrating all things Irish, and one of our favourite days of the year!
With the cold, dark Wintry months behind us, St. Patrick’s Day marks the start of the fun (it even happens to fall on a Friday!), and where better to start than with Jameson and Guinness! To mark the day, we have created a special cocktail inspired by the famous Irish poet,
Yeats - Sailing to Byzantium.
Jameson Irish Whiskey splashed over cubed ice with ginger ale and homemade smoky bacon syrup. Dash some orange bitters and garnish with a slice of crispy smoked bacon. Enjoy with a small Guinness to sip on the side.
